Ornament Party

Every year, or for at least the last 3 years, I have hosted an Ornament Party.  You may be asking what exactly might that be.  It’s basically just another reason to have another holiday party and the concept is based around exchanging ornaments.  I really actually like this idea because not just a holiday party.  It’s a time for us girls to gather and gossip while collecting ornaments and memories from year to year.  All you have to do is bring a wrapped ornament and then we pick and exchange ornaments similar to what people to for white elephant parties, only these are real ornaments.  I can’t take credit for this idea though.  I got it from a college friend whose mom always did one and I attended a few when we were in school together – thanks Debbie!

As for the menu, I tried to keep it simple and not make too much work for myself.  Everything was pretty much finger food.  Easy to pick up, snack on and still mingle.  My table decorations were lacking this year, but I manged to get the rest of my Christmas decorations up 😉

Menu:

Caprese Skewers

Spiced Nuts

Prosciutto Wrapped Gorgonzola stuffed Dates

Baked Brie with Carmelized Onions in Puff Pastry

3 Types of Hummus with veggies and pita chips

Panettone Bread Pudding for dessert
